A career spanning 35 years dealing with matters throughout the UK and Europe;
Originally an apprentice engineer, following the convention of the time, which involved multiple disciplines of design, production, maintenance, product and causation failure, within the areas of mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, steam and pneumatic systems, thermal damage and fire engineering risk reduction by design.
Post apprenticeship, spending a number of years within the automotive and transport sectors, and the plant, machinery and agricultural sectors. Several years involved in the design and compliance of Liquid Petroleum Gas (Propane) conversions for various engine and vehicle applications.
Prior to commencing practicing as an expert, spending a number of years as a College and University lecturer and course tutor, within the subject areas of engineering, transport studies, and law, to master’s level (lecturing on the role of the Expert Witness). During this time, completing a Cert. Ed, and Law degree, and post graduate qualifications in Forensic Engineering.
Practicing Expert Witness; First registered with the Law Society “Directory of Expert Witnesses” in 2001 (since 2004, the Directory of Expert Witnesses has been published by Thomson Reuters; listed in the 2017 & final editions).

Vehicles, Plant and Machinery, Fire and Explosions. Defective design and product failure, vehicle operation, road traffic collision, personal injury and fatality, unroadworthy vehicles and damage consistency. Matters involving unsuitability of design (for the application) and involving satisfactory quality for the intended purpose required (area of specific interest).
Experienced in Civil; both Claimant & Defendant, Criminal; both Prosecution & Defence, acting on both Single and Joint Expert basis, and giving evidence in the capacity of an expert witness in County Court and High Court cases.
